I’m new to firearms. Where should I start?
If you are new to firearms, we recommend starting with our Concealed Carry & Home Defense course or booking a private lesson. This allows you to learn safe handling, basic shooting fundamentals, and firearm laws in a supportive environment.
Are your classes beginner-friendly?
Yes. Our classes and private sessions are designed to support beginners, nervous students, and first-time firearm owners.
Do I need my own firearm?
No. Depending on the class or session, firearms may be available for training or range qualification. If you own a firearm, you may be able to bring it if it is legal, unloaded, and appropriate for the session.
Maryland, DC & Multi-State Permit Questions

Which permit or class do I need?
If you want the most complete option, the Max Concealment Package is usually best. It is designed for students who want Maryland, DC, Virginia, and multiple non-resident permit options.

No. You do not need a permit before taking training. The class is part of the process for students applying for certain permits.
What is the Maryland HQL?
The Maryland HQL is generally required to purchase, rent, or receive a regulated firearm in Maryland, unless you qualify for an exemption. Students pursuing Maryland Wear & Carry may have different application considerations.

Can I have a firearm shipped to Legally Protected?
Yes. You may have eligible firearms shipped to Legally Protected for transfer. Submit your transfer information so we can match the firearm to you when it arrives.

What happens if I do not pick up my firearm?
